In case an invoice needs to be created to be sent to a customer, please follow these steps:
- Click on the "+" icon at the top right corner of Stripe.
- Then click "Invoice"
- Type the customer's email address or name. Check if it's already existing and click on the existing email or name instead of choosing"+ Add new customer". This is to avoid creating a duplicate Stripe customer.
- Click on the "Find or add an item" field
- Type the "Item name/description" you want to find or add. If there is, choose the existing one, or "+ Add a new line item" if there isn't yet.
- If the item already exists, the fields will automatically populate. Make necessary changes if needed, then click "Save".
- If the item does not yet exist, click "+ Add a new line item," fill in the fields, and then click "Save."
- If the item already exists, the fields will automatically populate. Make necessary changes if needed, then click "Save".
- After the last step, a preview of the "Invoice PDF", "Email", and "Payment Page" will be available for double-checking
- Click "Send invoice" in the top left corner, and Stripe will give you a final preview of what will be sent to the customer. Then, click "Send invoice" again to finish the invoice sending process.
